Huso is my new favorite restaurant in NYC, and the finest overall dining experience I’ve had in nearly 19 years of living here and eating at the very best. From start to finish, the evening was pure perfection. The ambiance was serene and beautiful — like a high-end spa — setting the tone for a meal that was as thoughtful as it was exceptional.
The 10+ course tasting menu was exquisite, highly original, and perfectly portioned; unlike most prix fixe meals, I left feeling neither hungry nor overfull. While the entire meal was one collective standout, the egg and lobster with caviar, scallop with sunchoke and kombucha, beef with mushroom and périgord, and the grape, Sauternes, and olive oil palate cleanser were especially memorable. The flavors were unusual, precise, and utterly flawless. Pacing was spot on throughout.
Now, onto the service, which was not merely excellent but genuinely rare. Every interaction was intuitive, seamless, and perfectly calibrated: warm but professional, polished without stiffness, attentive without intrusion. The staff anticipated needs before they arose and executed each moment with calm confidence and absolute precision. It was, quite simply, the most refined and enjoyable service experience I have ever had, anywhere. I regret not noting every name, but I want to give special thanks to Gurman, Holly, and Madeline, each of whom exemplified this standard. You are all outstanding at what you do — thank you so much!
An unexpected highlight was a tour of the kitchen, which is itself stunning (and immaculately clean). Getting to watch Buddha Lo and his team in their element was a privilege and underscored just how much intention and craft sits behind every course. Additional Michelin recognition feels inevitable, and I already can’t wait to return for the spring menu.

Had a wonderful dining experience at Huso celebrating my birthday. It's been somewhere I've wanted to try for a while having followed chef Buddha Lo's journey. The experience did not disappoint. The Fall 2025 tasting menu is phenomenally innovative, with nods to seasonal ingredients, flavors and presentation. They are very much deserving of their recent Michelin star.
I highly recommend a wine pairing. The non alcoholic pairing was wonderful and went perfectly with each course. Although every course was delicious and memorable, my favorite was the milk roll, foie gras, truffle course with mushroom tea.
The hospitality team also went above and beyond to ensure my birthday was memorable. I loved the birthday dessert presentation, tour of the kitchen, and signed Polaroid to remember the experience.
Huso is a beautiful restaurant to spend a special occasion and I can't wait to see what chef does next. I might just have to come back for each seasonal menu!

Just a phenomenal and memorable experience. From start to finish we felt so well taken care of and there was no detail that was left unfinished. Every dish was pure art and the complexity of flavors blew our minds. We got a tour of the kitchen and the highlight was meeting and talking with Buddha himself! My wife went total fan girl! Truly and dining experience we will never forget.

The simple Act of making a reservation in advance was an amazing experience. If that was what was set to as an example it was bound to be amazing. An amazing it was for us the 12 course tasting menu was on deliciously on comprehensible. Buddha Lo continue to be imaginative and creative with his offerings one cannot completely describe the experience other than it explodes with taste in addition to the experience. From the tomato and goat curd dressed with a tweet of pressed basil, to the spot prawn Kohlrabi and Gooseberry dish, surpassed expectation. Then on to the duck cherry foie gras what's the precisely roasted duck and everything in between. To top it off we're invited to meet the chef himself which was a dream for my partner who joined me. Fantastic delicious outstanding.

Our experience dining at Huso last week was incomparable. We celebrated our 35th anniversary there and it was one for the books! As soon as we walked through the front door, we knew we were in for a wonderful night. The atmosphere is serene, bright and ethereal. I especially admired the beauty of the origami wall art; the delicacy of the pieces is stunning.
The entire wait staff was gracious, patient, and overall made our dinner very relaxing and enjoyable. They explained every course very thoroughly and answered any questions we had.
The food courses were extraordinary; each course was innovative, delicious and beautifully created and plated. Chef Buddha Lo is a true master of his craft, creating stunning art pieces that are phenomenally tasting. There were so many standouts; the scallops, tuna, potatoes, lobster, just to name a few. And then came the desserts! What an astonishing selection of courses, including one just for our anniversary, a chocolate mouse with chocolate “caviar” pearls on top, served playfully in a caviar tin, complete with a candle and a sweet anniversary message!
During the meal, we were escorted to the basement kitchen to view the immaculate and beautiful surroundings, viewing the chefs calmly preparing the courses. We were treated to a “mango straw”, which was delicious. Then Chef Buddha came our way to chat for several minutes, which was amazing. He is humble and kind, and we enjoyed talking with him very much. The staff also took pictures for us, which was so kindly given to us before departing. And to top things off, we were given the menu, printed with our anniversary wish on top. Very, very special. We would recommend Huso above any other restaurant in NYC right now! You shouldn’t miss it!

Loved the interior design at this place: clean, bright yet calm with integrated wood furnishings.
The service was great. They took us to the kitchen on a tour. Some servers weren’t as friendly as others but no big deal.
The food was incredible. We did the caviar pairing and it was great. Every course was well executed. For me, though, the meal read a bit heavy. I really wanted a salad or something to cut through all the richness. Or maybe smaller portions or one less savory course. More specifically, I think the course with brioche and foie gras was too filling. By the time the last savory course was served, I was stuffed. Too full to really enjoy it.
Overall an amazing experience!

The service was truly worth the Michelin rating. From the moment we walked in we were very well taken care of. The food was delicious, looks of wow factor, all the attention to detail was very noticeable. The highlight for me had to be getting to meet Chef Buddah Lo. We were given a kitchen tour where we were given an extra dessert course. Chef Buddah was very kind, NOT pretentious, made us feel welcomed, did not rush us, greeted us my name and even signed a birthday greeting and Polaroid photo for my daughter. Thank you Chef.

If you’re looking for a spot that feels like a decadent secret, Huso is it! I recently tried their new menu, and the flavor combinations were absolutely delicious.
The absolute highlight for me was the pairing: every drink and dish complemented each other perfectly. And honestly, who doesn't love a full caviar service? The blinis arrived steaming hot (exactly how they should be) and were the perfect fluffy base for all that salty goodness.
The aesthetic is just as good as the food. The tableware is beautiful, adding that extra touch of elegance to every course. Plus, the service was amazing; the team kept the restaurant flowing beautifully, making the whole evening feel effortless and fun.
One quick note for my fellow "low-volume" listeners: The space is intimate, which I loved, though I found it a tiny bit difficult to converse at times. To be fair, that’s mostly down to my own ears and not because the restaurant was actually loud!
Overall, a warm, wonderful experience. I’ll definitely be back for more caviar soon! (Also super loved the Polaroid at the end of the kitchen tour).

Every plate that arrived was art and food in equal measure; the kind of cooking that makes you pause before picking up your fork.
Fine dining inside a caviar store — it works completely as a concept. Caviar appeared throughout as a thoughtful ingredient, perfectly paired across multiple courses.
My dining companion’s favourite course was the Young Potatoes prepared multiple ways, Smoked Sturgeon and Caviar. Mine? The “bread and butter” course: Foie Gras, Duck Terrine and Duck Rillette with housemade Brioche. An absolute showstopper that was almost too pretty to eat — almost.
Our mutual favourite dessert was the Oishii Koyo Berry with Basil Flowers and Burrata. Light, seasonal, perfect.
If I’m being honest, things hit a crescendo early and the mains, while executed at the highest level, occasionally felt like they needed one more element: a touch of acid to cut through the richness, or a small surprise — the kind of unexpected flourish I’ve come to expect at this tier of cooking. This is a minor note on otherwise exceptional food, but worth mentioning for those who seek that relentless build of excitement course to course.
Service was warm, personable, and made an already special evening feel even more so. Highly recommend.

As a fan of Chef Buddha’s food from watching his competition shows, I had high expectations. The menu exceeded them! Every course was well thought out, delicious and expertly put together. I would come back just for the tomato tea! (I’m still thinking about it!) The staff were incredibly knowledgeable, attentive and friendly! The visit to the kitchen is a nice touch for added charm. The whole experience felt intimate and not stuffy. I highly recommend it and would definitely love to try another season’s menu in Teh future.
